Amanda Mizrahi, President
Hailing from Seattle, WA, Amanda (Class of 2012) is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and minor in Communications. Previously, she served as GWWIB's Co-Chair for the spring semester, she also served as the Vice President of Marketing and Director for Study Abroad. This year, she aims to increase GWWIB's on-campus presence while creating a strong and dedicated member base. In her own words, her goal is to "effectively lead this amazing group of young women and give them the skill sets needed to survive in todays competitive business environment." On campus, Amanda is also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, GW Finance & Investment Club and is part of the executive board of GW Operation Smile.

 

 

Favorite part about GWWIB: The Annual New York Trip

Hobbies include: Sailing, cooking, and travel

Alexa Vogel, Executive Vice President
Alexa Vogel (Class of 2013) is a native of Toronto majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Communications. She works as a House Proctor at GW and an intern at Weber Shandwick’s D.C. office. Her goals for GWWIB this coming year are to create a recognizable presence on campus and better connections within the Washington business community. She also plans on expanding the industries that are featured in panel discussions and networking events for the organization’s members. Alexa is looking forward to sharing her experiences and learning from the intelligent women of GWWIB.

Julia Susuni, Vice President of Corporate Relations
Julia (Class of 2014) is from Cherry Hill, NJ. She is majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in Development. Her goal is to create strong and diverse corporate contacts in order to execute interesting and informative events, including the NY Trip and Spring Conference. Julia is also an intern for uGeW (Social Entrepreneur Initiative) and involved in Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Naazneen Essabhoy, Vice President of Operations

Naazneen Essabhoy (Class of 2014) is from Palo Alto, California, majoring in Business Administration, concentrating in International Business and Finance. She was Marketing Director on GWWIB her freshman year. As VP of Operations she hopes to keep the organization's budget on track in order for GWWIB to be able to host all its great events, have its members attend the annual NY trip and hold its annual Spring Conference! On campus Naazneen is also a part of the GW ISA and DCBC.

Dimple Mirchandani, Vice President of Communication

Dimple (Class of 2013) is from Orlando, FL. She is majoring in International Affairs with a concentration in International Economics in the Elliott School of International Affairs. She wrote about GWWIB’s first annual Spring Conference in her freshman year for the GW Hatchet and was a member of GWWIB's Spring Conference Task Force in her sophomore year. As VP of Communication, she wants to plan and effectively market GWWIB’s events in order to increase membership. She hopes that these events will give young women an opportunity to network and also inspire them to excel in their professional lives.

Kayla Mallery, Vice President of Membership (fall '11)

Kayla (Class of 2014) is from Simsbury, CT, She is majoring in Business Administration with a Minor in Chinese. As the VP of Membership she hopes to strengthen GWWIB's member base and welcome a wonderful group of new members to G.W. Women in Business.

Hobbies include: Learning other languages, traveling, cooking, and scrapbooking

Helena Hounsel, Vice President of Membership (spring '12)

  Helena Hounsel (Class of 2013) is originally from Austin, Texas but currently lives in Rochester, New York. She is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Event Management and Marketing with the intention to graduate in five years with a Masters in Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event and Meeting Management. Helena was Digital Branding Assistant for GWWIB in Spring 2011. As the current Vice President of Membership, Helena’s goal is to broaden GWWIB’s membership base to students that are outside of the business school. Helena will also be in charge of GWWIB’s mentorship program. On the GWU Campus, Helena is Director of New Members for Delta Gamma Sorority and is currently working for the GWU Museum Studies as an Office Assistant.


Favorite part about GWWIB: The knowledgeable and talented women I have the opportunity to meet through GWWIB. The best networking tool imaginable for last connections.

Hobbies include: Traveling, social media, trying new recipes, and of course, shopping!

Senya Merchant, Vice President of Business Education

 Originally from Roseville, CA, Senya (Class of 2014) is majoring in Political Science with a focus in Public Policy. This year she will be serving as the New Member Coordinator and thus will work to create a stronger and larger on-campus network of members and supporters. Senya recognizes that GWIIB has been influential in shaping the careers of its members and hopes to broaden the scope of its effect. Senya is also a proud sister of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority as well as a student advocate intern at the non-profit org, LIFT DC.

Shaili Patel, Vice President of Business Education (spring '12)

Shaili Patel (Class of 2013) is from Colts Neck, New Jersey. She is currently studying business marketing abroad in Shanghai, China, and will be back for the spring semester. Shaili has previously served as Director of Study Abroad for GWWIB and feels fortunate to be part of an of organization on campus where women are so involved within the community, making GWWIB a great resource for any questions about campus life or future careers.

 

 

Favorite part about GWWIB: The New York City Career Trip, as well as the many mixers and luncheons!

Favorite part about living in DC: Shaili loves exploring DC. She recommends that "if you get a chance, make sure to do a midnight monument walk - they are so beautiful at night!"

Mandy Fatemi, New York Trip and Conference Co-Chairwoman

Mandy (Class of 2013) is from Jacksonville, Florida. She is majoring in history and minoring in communications. Mandy joined GWWIB because she believes that the business world has a lot to offer. This year she's in charge of co-chairing both the fall NY trip and the Spring Conference. Her goal is to get others outside the business school, such as herself, more involved in GWWIB and expand its membership base. She believes the Spring Conference is a great opportunity to introduce students to the various branches of business. She is also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Gabbi Baker, Conference Co-Chairwoman

A native South Carolinian, Gabbi (Class of 2013) is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She was involved in the planning and coordination of the first two GWWIB spring conferences and is looking forward to co-chairing this year's conference in Spring 2012. Gabbi previously served as the Vice President of Marketing of the Undergraduate Business Association and is currently involved in GW Acting Politically for Israel, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and serves as the Coordinator of the Marketing Track of the GWSB New York Career Trek.

Nikita Kumar, New York Trip and Conference Director
Maria Novick, Director of Communications (Social Networking)

 Maria (Class of 2014) is from Baltimore, MD. She is majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing in the George Washington School of Business.  As Director of Communication, she wants to use social media to effectively market GWWIB and inform members of events on campus. In her first year on GWWIB, she is excited to inform current members and market to new members about the excellent GWWIB events.

Hobbies include: Horseback Riding, Experiencing Culture, Learning, and Fashion

Pegi Ylli, Director of Communications (Tangible Marketing)

Pegi (Class of 2014)  is from Washington, D.C. She is majoring in Economics and minoring in Spanish. This is her first year with GWWIB and she is currently serving as a Director of Communications. Pegi aims to delve into GWWIB by attending the New York trip and attending panels. Her goal for this year is to help strengthen GWWIB's presence on campus by promoting events and GWWIB accomplishments. By making GWWIB more visible to the GW community, she hopes to make it more successful. She is excited to contribute to GWWIB and also learn from other members. Pegi is also involved in Pi Beta Phi Women's Fraternity, KIPP Ambassadors, and Aatash Dance team.

Tara Sharma, Director of Communications (External PR)

Tara Sharma (Class of 2013) is from Augusta, GA majoring in  Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. As a Director of Communication, she will be working on public relations with external organizations. She hopes to promote GWWIB in the DC community and have networking events with different organizations. She is also a member of the Chi Omega sorority.

 

 

Favorite part about GWWIB: Being able to meet other motivated women interested in business

Laura Bonnema, Director of Study Abroad

Originally from Palisades, New York, Laura (Class of 2012) is majoring in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing and International Business. Laura hopes to guide GWWIB members to help them get the most out of study abroad. In addition to GWWIB, Laura is also the Secretary for GW Program Board.

 

 

Favorite part about GWWIB: The Annual Spring Conference

Hobbies include: Perfecting macaroni and cheese, travel,, and decorating her apartment.

Anahita Nakhjiri, Director of Alumni Relations

From Seattle, Anahita (Class of 2013) is studying Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Public Policy. She has attended the annual  NY Trip and the Spring  Conference. As Director of Alumni Relations, her goal for GWWIB is to continue to nourish and support its strong relationships with alumni across all areas of the business world, and encourage GWWIB members to utilize them as resources. On campus, Anahita is part of Delta Gamma sorority and currently interns at Levine, Blaszak, Block & Boothby, LLP, a boutique telecommunications law firm in D.C.

 

 

Favorite part about GWWIB: How representative the organization is of the strong, intelligent, and motivated women that comprise our generation, and the lengths they will go to strongly impact the workforce across a wide range of industries.
