Prospective Students

Membership in GWWIB is available to any female undergraduate student at The George Washington University, regardless of academic major or career goals. If you are interested in attending GW or have applied for admission, please e-mail gwwib@gwu.edu for more information about the organization. If you have been accepted to the university for admission in Fall 2007, you are encouraged to take advantage of our mentoring program before you arrive on campus. Mentors are current GW students and members of GWWIB who can answer your questions about life at the university and opportunities within GW Women in Business.

Current Students

GWWIB provides undergraduate women with the opportunity to sharpen practical "real world" skills and to gain a solid network for learning about employment opportunities and meeting like-minded peers.

If you would like to apply for membership, please email gwwib@gwu.edu Annual dues are $15 and are payable by cash to Kristina Lazarevic, GWWIB's Finance Director. In order to run for a position or vote in the election for the 2008-2009 Executive Committee, members must be registered and paid in full.

All members have the chance to get involved with the committee of their choice. GWWIB committee opportunities are available for Corporate Relations, Networking, Alumni Relations, Philanthropy, Marketing & Communications, Finance, and Member Development. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact gwwib@gwu.edu and specify which committee you are intereted in.

As a platform for the advancement and development of its members, GWWIB is assisting female undergraduates as they prepare to enter the workforce. With hundreds of members from diverse majors and backgrounds, the organization is a valuable resource for any business looking to add value to their firm by hiring women with a strong desire to succeed.

GWWIB is currently sponsored by Lehman Brothers, a leading investment bank. We are seeking more business partners to help us further our initiatives. If you are interested in finding interns or full-time hires, sending a representative to campus, supporting one of our events, joining us in philanthropy, or getting involved in any way you see fit, please contact gwwib@gwu.edu to arrange for an opportunity with GWWIB that best suits your goals.
